Commerce Education:
Commerce is synonymous with trade and aids to trade. It is the backbone and financial strength of an economy. Study of commerce is necessary for sustenance of business and economic development of a country.
The concept of commerce consists of wide range of interdisciplinary branches including Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, and Economics.
Objective:
The objective of commerce education is to impart quality education to produce efficient Entrepreneur and Industrialists who will contribute to the economy with their innovative ideas.
B.com Curriculum and Its Applications:
The B.com computer application course is very much relevant to the current market environment and macro economic variables. The student is expected to learn both Accounting and Computer Skills. The syllabus is designed by Osmania University to suit the industry and is revised from time to time to enhance the standard of the student to mould him into a professional.
The syllabus not only emphasis on the theoretical approach but also includes practical training in many subjects.
The Introduction of skill enhancement course in various semesters with respect to insurance enables the student to acquire a licentiate certificate by qualifying a single exam conducted by IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India)
The B.com syllabus is very dynamic and includes the study of many interdisciplinary branches like Economics, Statistics, and Basic Mathematics. Apart from this it also focuses on current concepts related to GST(Goods and Service Tax), Insurance and computerized accounting (i.e, Tally Education) which helps the students to procure placements in noted companies.
